La Nit del Detectiu Awards 2022

I have learned a lot about everything that I have experienced throughout these years involved with my profession as a Private Detective, with the Official College of Private Detectives of Catalonia and with the DETECON Detective Congress. Therefore, I have a lot to thank and give thanks to all those who have been by my side on this journey.

First of all, it’s going to sound cliche, topicazo, but I’m recognizing that I deserve it both myself and my husband Fernando Schiaffino, after more than 20 years together, he knows how much we’ve lived, overcome and worked to get here and deserve this recognition

Although I would not really receive this award today if there was a man with character, very clear ideas, who gives off an imposing energy and is a little… a little bit… impulsive, he would call me one afternoon, and ask me if I it was… Esther Gómez. As a result, you all know the rest of the story. by introducing, in a rigorous and professional way, Non-Verbal Communication in the world of Detective and private investigation. They made me a professor of the #CAI Advanced Research Course, with the subject Lie Detection and Credibility Assessment. They asked me to join the Board of the College of Detectives, I gave more conferences, brought more ideas. I was entrusted with the school treasury, new conferences, more contributions to the collective, I wanted to help and so I did…

Literally Enrique Arranz opened the doors of his house to me, for that I will be grateful to him all my life, he introduced me to his wife, a wonderful person, with a big heart, nice, kind, beautiful… whenever I see her I try to be close to her to that I get some of all the good things that you have. He introduced me to a lot of people, his friends, his colleagues, Jaime Mateo, a beautiful person, a companion where there are people who always counts with me as little as possible. I also met David Sanmartin, a talkative man with an incredible ability to speak, to whom I cannot repay all the help he gives me. I also met Mercè Ferran, the current president, who, as sensitive and perceptive as she is with emotions, helped me realize why my profession seemed to be stagnant, so I also thank her. I have had the opportunity to meet many people, I met Gemma Diaz, she is like that cousin who is like your best friend, like a mother, she behaved very well with me when I had a bad knee, she worried about me, she helped me, she was always on the lookout for me and I, unable to walk, there, giving everything for the school, the colleagues and the DETCON and she with me, by my side, so I thank her from the bottom of my heart and this recognition he also goes for her.

I know I have more people to thank for this award, Oscar Rosa, thank you! I was blown away by his way of thinking and seeing things. He has an out-of-this-world positivity, I don’t know where he gets that positivity from… He also knows how to bring out the best in people, he is a wonderful person, generous, with an incredible gift of people, with an enviable capacity for words and organization .Óscar Rosa has supported me a lot in my career, he always has good words for me and my professionalism, he fully trusts my rigorous work and he always lets everyone know what he talks about and introduces me to, he conveys confidence and pride to them my person in such a way that he even does it better than me. As soon as I met him, I saw myself reflected in him, a professional where there are, of course this Sherlock is largely his.

The sisters Villena, Elisenda and Carina are like the sisters I never had, a reference to follow. I want to be like them when I’m older, I have them in my heart. Ignacio Mesa also helps me a lot, always giving me ideas to evolve in my professional career. Sergi Arias, with his support and advice, has also helped me to have this Sherlock, to understand the collective, the board and the school. To my brothers in the profession who value me, support me, support me, and also take care of me when I am at a conference outside Barcelona Raul Ramos, Pol Carbo and Oscar Fergo.

To a warrior where there are, who gave me the opportunity to grow internationally and offered me, with my English from being at home, to give a conference in Romania, where I have been asked to return as a speaker several times, they even gave me a recognition a the best conference, a pride. There I met many detectives from other countries and of great international professional recognition. Also, thanks to offering me this incredible experience, it gives me the courage to give more international conferences and not put limits on myself, as for example in Japan, in Tokyo itself, so this recognition is also partly thanks to Rafael Guerrero.

Surely I am leaving it to someone… all, all, all those who have trusted me and my professionalism, in my specialty in the assessment of credibility, to consult me with all the doubts you have about a document, about a behavior, about a statement and above all, about those hidden things that you couldn’t tell if this person was lying to you or telling the truth, in addition to proposing innovative, different expertise that could be related in some way to my specialties , thank you all for coming to me and explaining with me, this is also for you.

To my friend Mario, who, being my best friend since university, who working in the same sector, we see the profession and the collective in a different way and reminds me that there are different sides of the coin of being a Detective and for this keeps my feet on the ground, for him it is also part of this recognition.

I will be eternally grateful, to someone who always treated me like another companion, like a friend since he met me, followed me and supported me without conditions. Everything that I proposed and did for the school, for the collective and for DETCON, he accepted with the confidence that I was the one who would carry it out, even without knowing what it was, even maintaining the mystery for my lectures, he supported me. I received this unconditional support from Ramon Fontanals, he supported me at all times, this award is also for him and I know that he is still there supporting me.

Finally, I want to make a reflection, I want us to take into account something very important, because we often forget, the College of Detectives is all of us, so thank you all for this amazing mention!
